Youtube.come has posted a very offensive video to the Indian government. In this video created by Gautham Prassad, a stand-up comedian of Indian origin, "shows a man dressed as Gandhi - apostle of non-violence, carrying an automatic rifle, gyrating to music and doing a pole dance." Prassad has apologized for creating this video and has encouraged people not to view the video. The Indian government is contemplated on taking serious action against Youtube, which was recently bought by Google, concerning this matter. Options such as blocking the website or having Youtube remove the video have been considered. Google is currently reviewing the clip to determine how this matter should be addressed. Protests have started due to this offensive video from parts of the country. Students of a university in the northern Varanasi city have interrupted a train and sit-in protests were held in the state of Gujarat, Gandhi's home state.
My reaction to this article is that the internet is starting to get out of hand and a bit scary to be honest. The amount of false information, videos, images, and illegal activities that the internet has brought about has not been a positive thing. I will admit, I am addicted to the internet, I use it all the time, but I think people forget that the information that people but on the internet can be viewed by people globally. The fact that this one video has brought about protests truly shows how powerful the internet is becoming nowadays. This article make me think of the controversies surrounding the internet site myspace and how young girls were being stocked be older males. People need to become more aware of things that they decide to post on the internet and how others will react to it.

I completely agree with Morgan's views on the internet getting out of hand. It not only allows people to post repulsive videos and encourages that type of behavior, but it also leads to the issues of the young girls who have been taken advantage of and other problems. I'm all for our freedoms, but there needs to be some sort of stop or limit at some point to the internet. To post a video like that is completely inappropriate. It is offensive to an entire culture, and simply shows one man's ethnocentric and disrespectful viewpoints. I think it is good that the Indian government is contemplating action and has stood up for their beliefs on the matter.
